June 20, 2016 | Update

Where yo water wings at? Because we’re going swimming to finish off the transfer right. Finally haha after a long 3ish months, we are getting ready to baptize once again. Eduardo has been on fire as of late! His lady pastor has been to his house twice this last week to try and get him to throw away his Book of Mormon and stop going to church. And Eduardo has defended the church both times and bore testimony to her that he knows it all to be true. We stopped by a day after the first episode when we had an incredibly strong feeling that we needed to visit him as soon as possible. He told us he read the chapter in the Book of Mormon that we left him (Alma 32) and shared his favorite verse from the chapter, which I thought pretty profound for a 13 year old kid:

“But behold, as the seed swelleth, and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow, then you must needs say that the seed is good; for behold it swelleth, and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow. And now, behold, will not this strengthen your faith? Yea, it will strengthen your faith: for ye will say I know that this is a good seed; for behold it sprouteth and beginneth to grow.”

He told us after that he felt like that seed had started grow in his heart, and bore a simple little testimony to us of the Book of Mormon and the Restoration, it was a really special deal.

We have had great opportunities to serve and to meet new people that are prepared to receive the gospel this week and I’m so grateful I have this privilege to share it with them. I have a challenge this week for everyone inspired by my buddy Lauren Palmer: Throughout this week, look for an opportunity to serve and bear a testimony of the Book of Mormon and of Christ, that He lives. Pray for this opportunity every morning and night. And I promise you that when you find said opportunity you will see missionary work in a whole new light, and will want to do more everyday. You will be blessed.

I had the privilege to hear from Elder Pinho of the Quorum of the Seventy this Sunday, which I will fill you guys in more next week because I’m running. It was good stuff.

 HERE ARE PICTURES

I love you all, peace be the journey.
